Terms of Use and Legal Notice
Last updated: 2026-06-11
This page sets out the terms of use and legal notice for the website of the Law Office of Attorney Bîrcă Ludmila in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. Please read these terms carefully before using the site. The content published here is general information only and is not a substitute for individualized legal advice provided under a written engagement.
Site ownership and identity
This website belongs to the Law Office of Attorney Bîrcă Ludmila (Cabinetul Avocatului Bîrcă Ludmila), a form of legal practice registered in the Republic of Moldova. The practice is organized and carried out in accordance with Law no. 1260/2002 on the legal profession (advocacy) and the Code of Ethics adopted by the Union of Lawyers of the Republic of Moldova.
The office can be reached at: Str. Teilor 6, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova; telephone +373 69 149 375; e-mail ludmila.birca.jurist@gmail.com. For any question about these terms or how the site works, please use the contact details above.
General information, not legal advice
The materials on this website - articles, service descriptions, answers to frequently asked questions and other texts - are provided for general information only. They describe the legal framework in a simplified way and cannot account for the specific facts of any individual matter.
Reading this website does not constitute legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing here should be relied upon as a recommendation for your particular situation. Before taking any step with legal consequences, you should obtain individualized advice in which your circumstances are reviewed in detail.
References to specific legislation - for example Law no. 105/2003 on consumer protection, Law no. 200/2010 on the regime of foreign nationals, or Law no. 220/2007 on the state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs - are given for orientation only. Laws change and their application depends on the facts; any timelines, fees or costs mentioned are indicative and may change.
How an engagement is formed
Sending a message through the contact form, by e-mail, by telephone or through messaging apps does not, in itself, create a contractual relationship and does not oblige the office to take on the matter.
Legal services begin only after a few steps have been completed: checking for any conflict of interest, confirming that the matter falls within the areas in which the office assists, and signing a written legal-assistance agreement that sets out the scope, conditions and fee.
Until that agreement is signed, please do not send confidential documents or sensitive details you would not want disclosed, because the full protection of professional secrecy operates within a formalized engagement. This is particularly relevant for clients writing from abroad who may wish to share files early in the conversation.
Intellectual property and external links
The texts, structure, graphic elements and other materials on this site are protected by copyright law and belong to the Law Office of Attorney Bîrcă Ludmila or are used under licence. Reproducing, distributing or modifying them for commercial purposes without prior written consent is not permitted. Quoting short extracts with attribution to the source is accepted within customary limits.
The site may contain links to external resources, such as official portals or information pages. These links are provided for your convenience. The office does not control the content of third-party websites and accepts no responsibility for their accuracy, availability or policies.
Limitation of liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information published here accurate and current at the time of writing. However, because of legislative changes and the general nature of the texts, we cannot warrant that every item is complete, up to date or applicable to your situation.
To the extent permitted by law, the office accepts no liability for decisions made solely on the basis of this website's content, without individualized advice. The attorney's professional responsibility for services actually rendered is governed by the terms of the legal-assistance agreement and by Law no. 1260/2002.
Moldovan-law services and clients abroad
All services concern the law of the Republic of Moldova and procedures conducted within its territory. The office does not advise on the law of other jurisdictions.
Assistance is also available remotely - to members of the diaspora (Italy, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation and elsewhere) and to foreign nationals with interests in Moldova - through online consultations (WhatsApp, Viber, Zoom) and through handling documents under a power of attorney. Communication can take place in Romanian, Russian and English. Where formalities such as legalization or apostille are required for documents originating abroad, these are clarified individually for each matter.
Confidentiality and professional secrecy
Any information shared within an attorney-client relationship is protected by the attorney's professional secret, guaranteed under Law no. 1260/2002 on the legal profession. The office treats client information with discretion and uses it only for the purpose of providing assistance.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the data-protection legislation in force (Law no. 133/2011 and the new Law no. 195/2024 on the protection of personal data). Details about how data is processed are set out, where applicable, in the site's privacy policy.
Governing law and professional authority
These terms, the use of the site and any legal relationship connected with them are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. Any disputes are to be settled by the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova.
The legal profession is regulated and supervised by the Union of Lawyers of the Republic of Moldova, under Law no. 1260/2002 on the legal profession and the Code of Ethics. We reserve the right to update these terms; the version that applies is the one published on the site on the date you access it, shown above.
