Legal help from Moldova, wherever you are

Moldovan Lawyer for Clients in France

The Law Office of Attorney Birca Ludmila in Chisinau works with anyone who needs a lawyer from the Republic of Moldova, no matter which country they live in or what citizenship they hold. If you are based in France and face a legal matter connected to Moldova, I can represent you remotely - in Romanian, Russian or English - without you having to travel back home.

I work with clients from any country — wherever you need a lawyer from Moldova.

I work with clients from any country, including France

First, let me be clear: I am not limited to a single country. I help individuals and companies from all over the world who need a lawyer from Moldova. This page speaks to the community in France simply because many people search for help by the country where they live, but the same services are available to you wherever you are.

The Moldovan and Romanian-speaking community in France is large, spread across Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Strasbourg and many other cities. Many keep close ties to Moldova - relatives, homes, land, accounts, businesses or unfinished cases. The examples below reflect the needs I see most often in this community, but they are not a closed list.

What I can handle remotely

Most matters connected to Moldova can be resolved without you travelling. Here are the situations I encounter most often with clients in France:

  • Power of attorney (procura) so I can act on your behalf in Moldova - before a notary, in court, with public authorities or at the cadastre;
  • Obtaining documents and civil-status records from Moldovan archives (birth, marriage, death) and arranging the apostille (Hague Convention);
  • Inheritance and succession under the Civil Code - accepting an estate, division of property, handling succession remotely;
  • Real-estate matters in Moldova - sale, purchase, donation, registration of ownership, property disputes;
  • Representation in civil and commercial litigation before Moldovan courts;
  • Company formation for non-residents (Law 220/2007) and debt recovery;
  • Residence, immigration and citizenship matters connected to Moldova (Law 200/2010).

How working remotely actually works

The process is simple and transparent. We usually begin with an online consultation (WhatsApp, Viber or Zoom), where you describe your situation and we agree together on the steps to take.

For me to act in Moldova, in most cases a power of attorney is needed. You can obtain it in two ways: before a notary in France, with an apostille under the Hague Convention and a certified translation, or free of charge at a diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Moldova. For CIS states and countries with which Moldova has legal-assistance treaties, a Moldovan power of attorney may be recognised without an apostille - but for France the usual rule is the apostille.

We can start work from scanned documents, with originals sent by courier when they are required. We communicate in Romanian, Russian or English, and I schedule our meetings taking the time difference into account (Moldova is in the EET time zone).

Why work with me

I am an attorney with 15 years of practice and a Master of Laws from the State University of Moldova (USM). Between 2006 and 2011 I served as a state specialist in consumer protection, experience that helps me in cases with an administrative or consumer-law dimension.

I practise as a solo attorney, which means you deal directly with me throughout your case rather than with a changing team. Confidentiality and a dignified client relationship are a priority, in line with Law 1260/2002 and the Bar Code of Ethics.

Indicative costs and timelines

Fees depend on the complexity of the matter and the work involved. At the first consultation I can give you an indicative estimate of costs and timelines, along with an overview of the steps ahead.

Any figures regarding cost or duration are indicative and are confirmed after a concrete review of your situation. I do not offer guarantees as to the outcome - what I can offer is an honest assessment of your options and the risks involved.
