For clients across the CIS, including Russia, there is a meaningful practical advantage. Under the Minsk Convention on legal assistance, a power of attorney (доверенность) drawn up before a notary is often recognized in the Republic of Moldova without an apostille. This simplifies and speeds up the process compared with countries where an apostille is mandatory.

In practice, you sign the power of attorney before a notary in Russia, on terms we agree in advance, or — as an alternative — free of charge at a diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Moldova. On that basis I can represent you before Moldovan authorities, courts, notaries and registries.

Many people living in Russia need documents issued by Moldovan institutions: birth, marriage and death certificates, criminal-record certificates, register extracts or copies of archived records. Requesting them in person means travelling, queueing and losing time.

With a power of attorney I can request and collect these documents from Moldovan archives and registries on your behalf, arrange their legalization or apostille where required, and send them to you — sparing you the trip and the administrative back-and-forth.

If you own or inherit real estate in the Republic of Moldova, I can assist you remotely with sales, purchases, gifts, partition or the registration of ownership with the cadastral authority.

In succession matters, under the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova, I can represent you in opening the estate, preparing the succession file before a notary, accepting or renouncing an inheritance, and resolving any disputes between heirs — without requiring your physical presence in the country.

I can represent you in civil and commercial disputes before Moldovan courts, in family matters (divorce, division of property, child support, recognition of judgments) and in recovering debts from individuals or companies in the Republic of Moldova.
