Remote legal help for clients based in Russia

Moldovan Lawyer for Clients in Russia

The Law Office of Attorney Bîrcă Ludmila in Chișinău works with anyone who needs a lawyer from the Republic of Moldova — no matter where you live or which citizenship you hold. Clients in Russia are one of the communities I serve, alongside the Moldovan diaspora worldwide and foreign nationals and companies with interests in Moldova. Thanks to remote work and powers of attorney, most matters can be handled without you travelling to Chișinău.

I work with clients from any country — wherever you need a lawyer from Moldova.

I help clients from any country — Russia is simply one of them

My practice is not limited to a single country or community. You can reach me from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg or anywhere else in Russia, just like a client in Italy, Germany, the United States or Israel. What matters is that you have a legal connection to the Republic of Moldova: real estate, an inheritance, civil-status records, a company or a dispute.

I work in Romanian, Russian and English; with clients in Russia, correspondence and consultations are usually conducted in Russian. I operate in the EET time zone (Chișinău), close to Moscow time, which makes it easy to arrange an online meeting.

Power of attorney recognized without an apostille (Minsk Convention)

For clients across the CIS, including Russia, there is a meaningful practical advantage. Under the Minsk Convention on legal assistance, a power of attorney (доверенность) drawn up before a notary is often recognized in the Republic of Moldova without an apostille. This simplifies and speeds up the process compared with countries where an apostille is mandatory.

In practice, you sign the power of attorney before a notary in Russia, on terms we agree in advance, or — as an alternative — free of charge at a diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Moldova. On that basis I can represent you before Moldovan authorities, courts, notaries and registries.

  • Notarial power of attorney — often valid in Moldova without an apostille (Minsk Convention)
  • Free alternative: power of attorney at a Moldovan consulate/embassy
  • We start with scanned documents; originals follow by courier
  • All correspondence and consultations can be in Russian

Obtaining documents and civil-status records from Moldova

Many people living in Russia need documents issued by Moldovan institutions: birth, marriage and death certificates, criminal-record certificates, register extracts or copies of archived records. Requesting them in person means travelling, queueing and losing time.

With a power of attorney I can request and collect these documents from Moldovan archives and registries on your behalf, arrange their legalization or apostille where required, and send them to you — sparing you the trip and the administrative back-and-forth.

Real estate, succession and inheritance in Moldova

If you own or inherit real estate in the Republic of Moldova, I can assist you remotely with sales, purchases, gifts, partition or the registration of ownership with the cadastral authority.

In succession matters, under the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova, I can represent you in opening the estate, preparing the succession file before a notary, accepting or renouncing an inheritance, and resolving any disputes between heirs — without requiring your physical presence in the country.

Disputes, family matters and debt recovery

I can represent you in civil and commercial disputes before Moldovan courts, in family matters (divorce, division of property, child support, recognition of judgments) and in recovering debts from individuals or companies in the Republic of Moldova.

Every situation is assessed individually. I explain your options, the stages involved and the orientative costs honestly, without promising any particular outcome — that depends on the specific facts and the available evidence.
