Remote legal assistance for clients anywhere in the world

Moldovan Lawyer for Clients in the United States

I work with anyone who needs a lawyer from Moldova, no matter where they live or what citizenship they hold. Clients in the United States are one of the communities I serve often, but my office is equally open to the Moldovan diaspora anywhere in the world, to foreign nationals and to foreign companies with matters to resolve in Moldova. I offer remote consultations (WhatsApp, Viber, Zoom) and can represent your interests in Moldova under a power of attorney - so you do not need to travel.

I work with clients from any country — wherever you need a lawyer from Moldova.

For anyone who needs Moldova - including clients in the USA

First, let me be clear: I do not serve only one country or community. If you have any connection to the Republic of Moldova - real estate, an inheritance, a civil-status record, a company or a dispute - I can help, wherever you are. This page speaks to people in the United States because many begin their search from the country where they live, but the same services are available to clients in Canada, Europe, Israel, the UAE or anywhere else.

The office brings together 15 years of practice, a Master of Laws from the State University of Moldova (USM) and earlier experience as a state consumer-protection specialist (2006-2011). I work in Romanian, Russian and English, which makes cooperation easier for families whose generations speak different languages.

How remote work makes it possible without travelling

Most Moldovan matters can be handled without you boarding a plane. The key tool is a power of attorney - the document by which you authorize me to act on your behalf in Moldova.

From the United States, the power of attorney is usually signed before a notary public and then apostilled by the competent authority of your state, under the 1961 Hague Convention. Alternatively, you can sign it free of charge at one of the Republic of Moldova's consulates in the US. A document drafted in English is then translated and legalized in Moldova.

  • We start from scanned documents sent by email or messaging apps;
  • Originals follow later by courier when needed;
  • Consultations take place by video at a time that accounts for the time difference (Moldova is on EET);
  • We communicate in Romanian, Russian or English - your choice.

Power of attorney, documents and civil-status records from Moldova's archives

Many US-based clients need Moldovan documents they cannot obtain in person: birth, marriage or death certificates, register extracts or other archival records. Under a power of attorney, I can request and obtain these documents, ask for duplicates, and arrange their translation, legalization and apostille so they are recognized in the United States.

This service is frequently requested for US immigration files, for citizenship procedures, or simply to complete family documentation. Each situation is reviewed individually, and any timelines or costs mentioned are indicative until your specific file has been examined.

Inheritance, succession and real estate in Moldova

Losing a close relative in Moldova often raises difficult questions for those living in the US: who the heirs are, which deadlines apply, how to accept the estate, and what happens to an apartment, a house or a plot of land. The Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova governs both intestate and testamentary succession, as well as the deadlines for accepting an inheritance.

I can represent you before the notary and the authorities, identify and gather the necessary documents, clarify the question of shares, and handle the sale or transfer of property on your behalf. I can also assist remotely with real-estate transactions, title verification and the drafting of deeds.

Company formation, debt recovery and other legal matters

For US clients interested in doing business in Moldova, I can assist with setting up a company and with corporate formalities for non-residents, in line with Law no. 220/2007 on the state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. I also handle debt recovery, representation in civil and commercial disputes, and residence, immigration and citizenship matters connected to Moldova (including under Law no. 200/2010 on the regime of foreign nationals).

Whatever the nature of your request, the first step is a conversation in which you describe your situation and I explain, realistically, the options, the stages and the documents required. The information on this page is general and does not replace individualized advice.
